Toye’s historic archives allow the Suffragette film unparalleled authenticity

2019-04-10

It has been 100 years since William Henry Toye gave his full support to the Suffragette movement, as the original producer of the movement’s regalia. Toye is immensely proud of its support for the Suffragette movement, particularly given that, at the time, it would have been ill advised by many of William’s contemporaries to support the then divisive movement.

And now

Now, some 100 years later, Toye has retrieved its original dies and tooling to recreate the sashes, hunger strike badges and brooches as they were worn by those original members of the Women’s Social and Political Union
